It’s hard to write during the siege
Too busy just trying to survive
It seems like documenting events is crucial
To recall the past
To tell the truth later
Why do I struggle to turn events into words?
The suffering–
The fear–
The pain–
It fails me every time
I can only be a historian, not a war correspondent.
